The EDL have held 16 protests to date, with the latest being in Leicester on October 9th.

Every  protest of theirs has ended in ugly scenes - due to the EDL behaving in an unlawful way which includes bad behaviour, breaking down separation barriers, chanting chants of racism, and chants of abuse to Asians and Muslims (they have totally gone against what the group was formed for - as a WHOLE). Opposition groups rightly go and oppose the racist minority of Britain.

In fact, if anyone is defending England, it's the opposition of the EDL. They're attempting to stop hate and racism spread on this beautiful country, and in our towns and villages that they wish to target.

There is nothing English about the EDL.

By the way, their protests have ended up in Hindu Temples being attacked (e.g. Dudley 17/7/10), adding to the bill for the council who have had to pay to clean up the EDL's mess. People have got hurt, towns and cities become at a stage of unrest and overall - they don't achieve anything. They just add hate to our streets.

Mosques have also been an issue to them. They have targeted them on several occasions during their protests, after they finally break through police fences. For example in Leicester, thankfully, members of the MDL were protecting the mosques.

EDL have a history of abusing mosques. Twice, once in Dudley, a pigs head was placed on it, which is extremely rude and insulting.

Tell me, who are the extremists in Britain now?
